There are three things you don’t do in life, throw rocks at grizzly bears, tug of Superman’s cape, and mess with any property of the Material Woman! Lindsay Lohan is pretty much no longer taken as any kind of serious actress in Hollywood, this is fairly commonly known. She makes her money off of residuals, photo shoots, and a film every now and again, but if she wants to keep passing around her toxic clam dip she better start thinking straight, Jesus Luz, jailhouse property of Madonna, is strictly off limits. But we know that the red-headed Rhodes Scholar just can’t leave well enough alone, as she had “her people” call the VIP Room in Paris, Fr to try to set something up with her and Jesus, as he was the celebrity host of the evening. As a man with a modest amount of boxing and martial-arts training, I wouldn’t want any part of Madonna, literally and figuratively, PASS! Corey Haim, gone too soon? Or not?

Today, family, friends, and numerous domestic and international fans mourn the loss of a true seventies/eighties great, Corey Haim. Although he died of an “apparent” overdose as characterized by Providence St. Joseph’s Hospital in Burbank, Ca, the harsh reality is that no one truly dies of an apparent overdose. I am certain that his mother and other close family and friends continued to support him up until his last breath to “stay the course or keep it clean” but as we all can see, those decisions ultimately rest with the person. I don’t feel any need to play dimes store psychologist with this man’s life, but these are the unfortunate lessons that those who are new to the business or are experiencing a major falling off of sorts, really need to consider. The fan in me really mourns his loss, but the parent in me feels devastated more so for his mother, as she stood by him with many others wouldn’t, as that was her baby. This is the selfish and powerful hold that drugs have on some people’s lives, so efffin tragic. All we can do is support his mother, and try to remember Corey for the joy he brought to so many. Live your life to the best of your ability, because no day is promised to any of us!!

I am sitting on a recumbant bike on the gym this morning and I see a blurb on the financial channel that an Irish Catholic Diocese is appealing to their parishoners to help them offset the cost of legal expenses and lawsuits to the tune of $14million. So let me get this straight, you want your churchgoers to pay for the reprobate priests that sexually abused children, and you guys covered it up all the while? The absolute unmitigated gall of these no good effers!!! Lord forgive me, but as soon as I would have found out about this, If I lived in that town, I would have knocked the hell out of that priest! But you know some people are stupid enough to start writing checks and dropping money into a collection! Wow!! Sorry if I don’t have any tolerance or respect for former NBA player Jayson Williams, who accidentally/recklessly killed his limo driver Costas Christofi with a shotgun, at Williams’ home in 2002. Although the judge rendered a five year sentence, this assclown, who may now be filled with genuine remorse, is up for parole in 18 months, 18 MONTHS?!! Screw that, Jayson should have to do the entire time with absolutely no time off for good behavior seeing that it has been seven stinking years since the Christofi family has gotten any sort of justice! A strong message needs to be sent that foolish behavior such as this will never be tolerated. You do the crime, you do the time! My heart goes out to both families.

In the very beginning of yesterday’s balloon drama, my stomach was in knots at the possibility of death happening to this beautiful little boy, Falcon Heene.Â As a parent, the death of a child is always an extremely painful thing.Â However, once the story progressed I had asked a buddy of mine, I wonder if they checked the basement, closets, and attic properly?Â It just seemed strange that an older brother would see his younger brother get into the basket attachment of this craft and not try to stop him, scream, or do something.Â But after seeing Larry King Live, I was convinced that these two parents put the kids up to this deplorable bullshit!Â Also, I believe that they have been trying to pitch a reality show of their own around to different production companies, but once this proves to be true they should be blackballed before even getting started!Â Just because this family was on “Wife Swap” doesn’t mean they deserve a show, the parents deserve jail time!Â These poor boys don’t even realize that they are being used by their parents, whether the husband or the wife is the mastermind, they should be punished to the full extent of the law as well as all financial responsibilities as well.Â This is definitely not the way to get a show, it is a sad and desperate attempt at fame.Â Read

Although I do believe that Khloe Kardashian’s marriage to Laker Foward, Lamar Odom is suspect, I am totally against people, low class people making fun of her weight.Â Not every woman is going to be a size zero or two, some are going to be larger, and that is perfectly fine.Â The only problem is when a person uses food as a crutch to hide/cover up some kind of pain/insecurity, that can not only send someone spiraling out of control, but the ramifications against the body may be irreversible.Â I have always been old fashioned in that beauty comes from interior: Heart, demeanor, and general outlook toward life.Â We have all been around what society considers to be beautiful people and we have come away saying” I don’t get it! Or, if it weren’t for those persons looks they would be in real trouble.”Â There is immense pressure for women in the public eye in Hollywood to be thin and perfect, which is total bullshit and totally damaging. My own sister, Stephanie Covington-Armstrong, had her own battles with eating disorders as detailed in “Not All Black Girls Know How to Eat” and over the past thirty plus years of my life, I have seen the cruelty by which people can be ostracized and damaged by teasing behavior.Â Sure, Khloe could probably lose another ten pounds, but ol’ girl is 5′10″ give me a break and those people trying to publicly humiliate her like Janice Dickenson and Spencer Pratt should be careful, because the toxicity you send out can come back to you exponentially.Â Some people just like being mean for mean’s sake!Â Read

I mourn like other foodies over the closing of Gourmet magazine!!

My first magazine subscription at ten years-old, was Gourmet magazine.Â My mother, a single parent thought it would be a great way for us to bond over food and culture as she instilled in me that food isn’t just for eating, but enjoying.Â Although I can’t remember the first meal we made together, it was more about the preparation of the meals and the total appreciation for those who toil in kitchens around the world for those unseen guests just beyond the kitchen door.Â I have for the past five years debated my mother on the diminishing “safe” corporate job, as she is stuck in the eighties as to my career path as a college graduate.Â I had a slew of friends that got wiped out at Arthur Anderson and most recently some at Saturn, and few others at different companies across different industries, there are fewer places than ever before that are safe/have massive longevity.Â It is just a realistic part of our times, as sad as it may be.Â My prayers go out to all that have shown professionalism, dedication, and passion, in pursuit of sharing their lives with not only me, but countless others.Â Read

Shanna Moakler has severly questionable judgment!!

This post, I put in the “Are you effing kidding pile?!!”Â Now anyone familiar with Travis Barker and Shanna Moakler know that the two of them have two beautiful children but have had a very tenuous relationship, and can both shoulder enough blame for the demise of their marriage.Â So the long of the short is that, when Travis was dropping the kids with their nanny to Shanna’s Rhode Island home, Travis noticed the vehicle of a convicted child molester in front of the house, and refused to leave the kids. This person of interest is either a friend or family member of Shanna’s, so the cops were called to address Travis’ outbursts, with the outcome being that the cops searched the house for the man upon going over the child custody/divorce agreement.Â Even if it were a family member that I really loved, they would not be allowed be or my kids any longer due to their reprehensible actions against minors.Â I those were my kids and I found that mf there, I would surely be going to jail, because I would have tried to rip his head off of his shoulders and for allowing him in the house, it would have taken everythingÂ from me ripping her head off as well!Â This girl is friggin’ incredible, she has absolutely no excuse that could convey responsibility.Â Kudos Travis!Â Read

First of all, I am not some perfect guy who just sits and types on my computer, passing judgment on all that piss me off.Â I understand that as adults, we all have varying degrees of issues that we are facing, some more serious than others, however when you are responsible for the care of small children and you are a drug addict, get help or give up the kids.Â In the case of Kerry Katona, she cannot be trusted to make the right decision, as police were looking for her after this video surfaced and they visited her home, they found the kids with the nanny.Â Kerry’s ex-husband should be granted temporary full custody until Kerry makes the decision of going into rehab and then be monitored.Â What also scares me is/was the possibility of the children finding the cocaine and eating it or even snorting, because they might have seen mama do it.Â I have very little sympathy for this woman, but I do hope that she makes the right decision for the kids.Â Read
